ADDCO Sway Bar Modification

This (figure 1) is the ADDCO rear sway bar for the Yugo.  As you can see (figure 2) the end of the bar is bent at a 45-degree angle.  This is fine if your car is at the stock ride height. I figure that if you are going to install a sway bar you probably want more from the car than the stock height will allow.  Once you lower the car the bushings will bind due to the bend.

My solution was to replace the bent end with a high quality hime joint. (Figure 3)

The first step is to cut off the angled end (figure 4).  Thread the end, in this case 3/8 16. Figure 5 is the final result, a non-binding, solid connection.
